The scheme is a simple tool where by individuals with a hidden disability can choose to wear a sunflower lanyard to indicate that they may need extra help, understanding, or just more time. Organisations that join the scheme have to commit to ensuring that all staff and volunteers watch a series of training videos so that they understand about hidden disabilities.
